As with most things in life, first impressions are very important, so believe us when we tell you that the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe knows how to make a first impression. Our test model arrived and looked very confident in space gray metallic with a low stance and fresh rims. The week went by too quick, but here's what we discovered about the 335is Coupe.

Exterior

The BMW 3 series models are becoming a brand of their own with distinctive looks that fit nicely into a growing niche market. Our loaner looked very sharp with new high depth LED tail lights, new xenon adaptive headlights with LED lighted corona rings, a new hood which integrates with the freshened kidney grille, 19 inch double spoke wheels, heated dual-power mirrors and heated windshield washer jets. The new air dam of the 335is Coupe is equipped with large openings meant to feed as much air as possible to the upgraded cooling system and looks totally cool while doing so. But for as stylish and refined as the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe looks from the outside, you really can't appreciate the power at your disposal until you drive this thriller!

Interior

The engineers and designers hit a home run with the interior of the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe, which is luxurious, sporty and roomy in one nicely done package. There is actually plenty of room for four adults, cabin width at your disposal and an interior with design clues from the best in the business. Our test model was loaded with a stunning coral red and black dakota leather seating surface that was enhanced with red ambient lighting, power rear sunshade, heated front seats, automatic climate control, iPod and USB adaptor, Navigations system with real-time traffic information, voice command BMW assist with Bluetooth, satellite radio, an awesome and best-of-class sport steering wheel with shift paddles. Also included as standard options were 8-way power adjustable sport seats, cruise control, two-way power glass moon roof with one touch operation and sliding interior sunshade, rain sensing windshield wipers and automatic headlight control, AM/FM stereo CD/MP3 player audio system with HD radio, auxiliary audio input for portable music players, adaptive brake lights, front and rear head protection system and on board computer with check control. The overall feel of the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe is the right mix between sport and luxury and proudly raises the bar for her competitors.

Performance

Say hello to pure driving pleasure in the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe! The BMW 335is features the award-winning, twin-turbocharged BMW inline-6 engine, specially tuned and equipped to produce 320 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque from its 3.0-liters. The 7-speed Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) with Launch Control is capable of 0-60mph acceleration in 5 seconds flat. That alone is exciting, but the experience is even better! With all of the essential attributes of rear-wheel drive, near-perfect 50-50 weight distribution, remarkably precise steering, and skillfully engineered suspension – all of which conspire to produce the uniquely satisfying driving experience that is quintessentially BMW. The new sport exhaust system is the perfect mix of growl and high performance that fits nicely with the confident 335is. Appearance is revealing on the 2011 BMW 335is Coupe as the 19 inch double spoke wheels, fashionable red leather interior and low muscular stance tell you what this car is all about right away. This powerful machine is cloaked in a smooth exterior and at 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway driving, you won't break the bank with extra fill-ups. Now, all of this high-end performance and style doesn't come cheap as the sticker on our test model came in at $61,025, but for those with the means, this car needs to get on your shopping list. There are many drivers who cherish speed and the best performance for the money but don't want to stand out on the road screaming, "Look at my fast my car."
