BMW needs little introduction. We all know the German automobile maker for their aggressive style and powerful engineering. A BMW is, after all, the Ultimate Driving Machine. With the new M3, the company continues a tradition of high performance and high design.
Bayerische Motoren Werke was founded in 1917. Over the next several decades, various automakers attempted to buy BMW, including Daimler-Benz. The company maintained its independent status and has gone on to purchase several major brands of its own, including Mini and Rolls-Royce. BMW has dedicated itself to continued development of the US market, exclusively manufacturing the Z3 Roadster and X5 SUV in the states since 1994.
Sites worth visiting
BMW
BMW’s official site has all of the BMW experience you could expect. The typical vehicle showroom is there, but we really like the ‘Uniquely BMW’ section. It’s there you’ll find the behind-the-scenes info on the people making the cars. Read statements from designers and engineers and discover what makes a Bimmer tick.
BMW on Wikipedia
The BMW page at Wikipedia is a bit haphazard but still full of good information. Their treatment of the different models is particularly informative. They also sport a nomenclature section meant to help BMW converts make sense of the D’s and the I’s, the P’s and Q’s of BMW ownership.
BMW Motorsport
The official BMW Motorsport gives the racing enthusiast everything he could need. From Formula to consumer level track racing, follow the BMW team you know and love. Be sure to use the event finder for the next track event near you.

edBMW
Nope. This is not a BMW blog written by a guy named Ed. The ‘ed’ actually refers to the BMW European Delivery program. The BMW is self-explanatory. These self-proclaimed Bimmer fanatics always have the hot word from Deutschland on BMW and her competitors.
BMW FAQs
We usually expect a FAQ page to answer a bunch of questions that get asked on a regular basis. We don’t expect to find a well-written, regularly updated blog complete with pictures. Still, that’s what BMW FAQs delivers, and they do it in the crisp, clean style we so adore.
