If you're looking for a premium laptop that doesn't skimp on style or performance, you should check out the HP Envy.


CNET always has good in-depth reviews and a sleek site structure. You can browse laptops by price, manufacturer and by the editors’ top picks. Be sure to check out their buyer’s guide.

PC Magazine
Similar to CNET, this site offers multiple ways to browse laptop reviews. Not quite as intuitive as the CNET site, but it still offers quite a bit of good information.

PC World
Not as easy to browse as CNET or PCMag, but it’s a good place to find a second or third opinion on a laptop. They also have a buyer’s guide.

Notebook Review
This site is more of a blog focusing on news and reviews. It features a handy list on the left that shows the most popular laptops available, along with forums where you can pose your laptop questions to other users.

Laptop Magazine
This site supports the hardcopy magazine available at your local newsstand. Consumers can read most of the magazine’s articles online, which are sorted by issue, and focus on reviews and various features relating to laptops or general computing. They also have a buyer’s guide.
Not as sleek as the rest of the list, but there is still some good info here, including their buyer’s guide.


This site focuses on all gadget news, but consumers can choose only to look at specific gadgets, such as laptops.

Another blog that contains all kinds of gadget news, but has its own laptop page, which focuses on new laptop releases as well as laptop-related news.
