Help your dad look a little less like...a dad.
Most dads start to lose their fashion sense as the years go on. With summer around the corner you can give him a comfortable and casual option for the summer with Crevo shoes. We tried out several styles and both would make great gifts. They make great alternatives to sneakers or sandals during the summer whether you’re wearing shorts, jeans for slacks, and the designs are contemporary but not too trendy. The shoes are also incredibly comfortable and very easy to slip on and off.
If you’re shopping for a dad who’s a little younger or more interested in the latest fashions, check out the new sneakers from Recon, a new, under-the-radar brand, with a new line of sneakers which come in three color styles. The Recon line is described as a “new category of covert footwear for the true, ever-changing athlete” and you can see that they’ve come up with an innovative and distinctive design. Recon marries traditional styling, strong colors and functional athletic design for a versatile sneaker you can wear on the court and out on the town. They’re very comfortable, and better yet, the sneakers are very affordable as well. Check them out online along with Recon’s equally stylish t-shirts at ReconBrand.com, or you can find them exclusively at FinishLine stores nationwide.
If your dad’s into playing hoops and wants the latest and greatest basketball shoe, then you have to consider the ultra-light Adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2. It’s the world’s lightest basketball shoe, weighing in at 9.5 ounces, which is nearly 10 percent lighter than the nearest competitor’s basketball shoe. It also looks cool as hell, and if pops has any fashion sense at all he’ll want a pair! Just be careful as he might then go out and school you on the court.
Most dads need dress shirts, and most guys would appreciate a gift of a custom-made shirt. Here you can design a shirt online for a price that is much more affordable than traditional custom-made shirts. This is something the tech-savvy dad would appreciate as well. So check out the site and you might just find the perfect gift that dad won’t have to return! He’ll love it when his dress shirts actually fit.
The Double-Dry t-shirts and shorts from Champion would make a great gift for the dad who still likes to get out there and play some hoops or work out, or for the dad who needs a subtle hint! This line is engineered to make you comfortable while working out, but you’ll also look great as well. We tried them out and the feel great and look great, and Champion has made even more improvements from the previous Double-Dry products. The Double-Dry T-shirt features sleek ergonomic seams provide a more streamlined fit, and they’re triple-stitched for strength and flat-locked for non-chafe softness. This makes a huge difference and we were very happy with these products.
You may not realize it, but your dad may have been a free spirit when he was younger. Or, he might be the kind of guy that’s always reminding you of it, particularly how the music in his day was so much better (it was!). Either way, check out the slick t-shirts at WornFree.com and check out the shirts inspired my music greats like Bob Marley and Joe Strummer. Chances are this is the kind of gift he’ll appreciate the most.
Contributing to a charity in someone’s name has become a popular gift idea in recent years, but it strips the recipient of having anything tangible to show for it. That's why the TOMS One for One business model is so intriguing. For every pair of sunglasses that TOMS sells, the company gives a pair of prescription glasses, sight-saving surgery or medical treatment to a person in need. It’s a win-win situation. Your dad gets a stylish new pair of sunglasses, and you help change a stranger’s life in the process. There are four styles to choose from (including the iconic Kigali and the Aviator-like Kathmandu), with a variety of frame colors and lens tints to add that personal touch. And to help tell the story of your donation, every pair of glasses features hand-painted stripes on the sides of the frame that represent you, TOMS and the person you’re helping. You won’t find a more rewarding gift than that.
If there’s one thing that we all hate about luggage, it’s that it tends to take up a lot of space, which is why the new foldable luggage from Biaggi is going to be a big hit when it arrives in stores this June. Every bag in the Biaggi line features a hinge in the bottom that snaps inwards, allowing the luggage to flatten to roughly half the size and thus making it easier to store, whether at home or on your travels. It even comes with a vinyl carrying case that protects the luggage when you’re not using it, and is available in a variety of colors and sizes depending on your specific needs. The sample that we were provided not only had great style, but was also made with a high-density, wear-resistant Ballistic nylon material and boasted more space (in the form of exterior pockets and interior compartments) than we knew what to do with. Though some of the bags may seem a bit costly for such a new and unproven brand like Biaggi, those prices are justified by their excellent quality and revolutionary one-of-a-kind feature.
We’re big fans of Lugz shoes, and we recently tried out the new Changover Perf style that comes in white with black trim. The shoes have the look and feel of sneakers with super-soft leather and subtle but distinctive styling. The perforated leather on the sides with the four side-stripes give the shoes a high-end look. The shoes are super-comfortable with a padded tongue & collar and cushioned insole, and the soles are thick with traction grooves cutting across the sole for a jagged look. These won’t replace your cross-training sneakers but you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more comfortable shoe for walking, making them a great option for everyday use. They’re great for the summer as they fit well with a wide variety of shorts or jeans.
