Lollapalooza 2008 recap, Lollapalooza 2008 review, Lollapalooza pictures, Lollapalooza photos

For the past few years that Bullz-Eye has been covering Lollapalooza, we've always had expansive team coverage, bringing you reviews and impressions of as many bands as possible. This year I was flying solo (blame the editors – they’re old). Not only that, on Friday I began suffering the early symptoms of what became a viral infection that eventually put me up in a hospital overnight with a temperature of 103.

No worries, though. A little life-threatening illness wasn't going to stop my rock, and fewer co-workers just meant more rocking for me to cover. And what a lineup to cover: Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine! The top-heavy lineup this year's festival made it the first-ever Lollapalooza at Grant Park to sell out two of its three days. With such great acts, I had hopes of this being the best Lollapalooza ever, and while the music was top-notch, the whole thing was practically ruined by the people who showed up to watch it.
