Do you think that the drug industry's millions of dollars of campaign contributions has anything to do with their reaction?Given this crazed atmosphere, the far right and the thought police have decided to go after our man Howard Stern again, and to his credit Howard is fighting back. He's been savaging Clear Channel, Michael Powell and Bush on the air day after day, and many are predicting that he could have an impact on the presidential election. In the meantime, his show is as funny as ever, even with the annoying bleeps.
It's ironic, however, that Howard is getting attacked at a time when his show is mellower than was in the past. Howard is happier now that he's divorced and dating the beautiful Beth Ostrosky, and his on-air personality has evolved as well. That said, he can be as provocative as ever, and the religious right will not rest until they get him off the air.

howard Stern surprised Hollywood with an excellent film, "Private Parts," based on his best-selling book. It was a success with critics and at the box office. You would think he would have made a new film by now, but I guess he's too busy making millions of bucks with his Sirius deal.

With the FCC controversy raging and Howard's contract set to expire next year, many expect Howard to bolt to satellite radio. Recently, Howard just added 9 markets, including 5 of the 6 markets where he was booted from ClearChannel, so he won't be going to satellite radio this year.
