Forget about Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Hilary Duff, and even Paris Hilton: Lindsay Lohan is the new pop princess. Born in New York City on July 2, 1986, Lindsay was considered such a natural beauty that she began modeling with the Ford Modeling Agency at the age of 3. Soon after, Lindsay was appearing in commercials for Gap, Pizza Hut and Jell-O, and even scored a gig on the “Late Show with David Letterman.” Four years later, Lindsay got her first big break when she was cast in Disney’s remake to the classic 1961 family comedy, “The Parent Trap,” a part that would crown her as the Disney princess for many years to come. Other roles followed, including the made-for-TV movie “Get a Clue” and the part of Bette Midler’s daughter on the veteran actress’ TV sitcom. This second job didn’t last, however, when production on the show moved from New York to LA. The role was recast, and, after only sixteen episodes, the series was cancelled.
During her time off, Lindsay signed with Estefan Enterprises and started production on her first (of five) music albums. This prompted the star to finally make the move to Los Angeles, where she bunked with Disney lifer Raven-Symone and started an ongoing feud with Hilary Duff. High school quarrels don’t last forever, however, and after making amends with the younger of two Duff sisters, Lindsay began work on a series of new films, including the acclaimed teen comedy “Mean Girls,” which continues to stand as Lohan’s best work to date. And as one of Hollywood’s most promising “It” girls, Lindsay continues to make headlines with everything from supposed eating disorders, late night partying with celebrity socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie, and pleas to writer/director Joss Whedon for the coveted role of Wonder Woman. How quickly they grow up…

Lindsay Says
On partying:
"I don't want to have a drink and have someone whip out a camera phone and Disney getting it. It's not worth it! I don't want to risk my career for a night of having fun."
On her supposed eating disorder :
“Sometimes being that thin doesn't look healthy. I kind of didn't realize that.”
On her future:
"I'll probably pursue doing more movies, but not horror or movies with killers in them. I'll try to stick to happy movies. I want to act and direct like Jodie Foster. I admire her because she went to college and she's still doing the same thing."
