Perrey Reeves in “Entourage”

Of all the regulars on “Entourage,” Perrey Reeves gets the least amount of buzz. She’s been around since the show’s inception in 2004 as Mrs. Ari, but mostly out of the spotlight, logging episode after episode without much fanfare. Perrey was born in 1970 in New York, raised in New Hampshire, studied abroad and in the US at an Ivy League school, and found consistent acting work on television early in career – and has proved a mainstay in that medium ever since.

She starred in a couple episodes of “Doogie Howser, M.D.” and “21 Jump Street” before snagging David Duchovny as a boyfriend for a couple years during his “X-Files” heyday (she had a role in one episode in 1994 as Kristan Kiler), and can be seen on the big screen in “Kicking and Screaming” and the highly acclaimed “Smoke Signals.” In the 2000s, Perrey continued searching for that one breakout TV role, and 2003’s “Lyon’s Den” was not the answer. She did have a part in “Old School” that same year, but it was on “Entourage” in which Perrey found a home in 2004. She also appears in the big screen pictures “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and “American Dreamz.”

Iconic Character – Mrs. Ari on “Entourage”

For many fans, her role as Mrs. Ari on “Entourage” will always be a favorite. We highlihgted this character in our “TV Girlfriends” feature in the “Thy Neighbor’s Wife” catagory. Here’s what we said about the character:

“No offense to the other contestants, but if there’s one woman who embodies our idea of the perfect MILF, it’s Mrs. Ari. Heck, we don’t even know her first name, and to be completely honest, we’re not entirely sure we want to. While most women her age would be perfectly happy spending their husband’s hard-earned money while some stranger takes care of the kids, Mrs. Ari seems content with simply being a housewife. She even gave up a promising acting career as a soap star to start a family. That doesn’t mean she’s completely against reaping the benefits, however, and though we wouldn’t exactly categorize her as a trophy wife, there have been times where it’s taken more than a fancy dinner or a shopping spree to find a way back into her good graces. (Like, for instance, when Ari buys her a brand new Maserati and she still doesn’t forgive him). It may look like Mrs. Ari is all about the money, but she has plenty of her own thanks to a sizable trust fund, and really, who wouldn’t give a woman with that kind of body whatever she wanted? Couple that with a personality that’s strong enough to equal out even the biggest egomaniac and it’s no surprise that someone like Ari would remain loyal to her.”

Perrey on the Screen

In addition to “Entourage,” Perrey has guest starred on numerous TV shows her whole career, including “Rules of Engagement,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “CSI: Miami,” “Sliders,” “The X-Files,” as well as a host of TV movies like “The Preppie Murder,” “The Return of Ironside,” and “An Element of Truth.” She has also had some interesting film credits to her name including “Child’s Play 3,” “Smoke Signals,” and “Old School.”
