Watching the sun set over the Pacific is always a glorious experience, but it’s even more enjoyable when you’re relaxing in your room at a place like the luxurious Resort at Pelican Hill. This sunset photo only begins to paint the relaxing picture that you’ll experience at this resort. I’ve been fortunate to stay at Pelican Hill twice for drive events and frankly enjoyed every minute of my time there.
The grounds and golf course at Pelican Hill are simply stunning with all the lush green grass and trees and the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.
The natural beauty of the site located just south of Newport Beach and north of Laguna Beach is also matched by the beauty of the architecture. This is a very large resort with impressive buildings and long walkways providing amazing views, but it’s also manageable and easy to navigate.
My favorite area is the Coliseum Pool which is a perfect circle 136 feet in diameter surrounded by luxury cabanas along with the Coliseum Pool & Grill which offers a great nightspot for relaxing drinks.
As you can see from the photos below, the accommodations also don’t disappoint, with all the comforts, luxuries and understated style you would expect from a resort like Pelican Hill. Your choices include the bungalow guest rooms which give you the feel of a Tuscan village (pictured below) and also two, three and four-bedroom villas which are located in a private enclave within the resort. The villas give you the feel of a private residence with all the amenities of the resort close by, like the private clubhouse and pool for villa guests exclusively.
If you’re looking to splurge on a luxury getaway, the Resort at Pelican Bay offers a great option. You can take your wife or girlfriend and enjoy the luxury, or take your buddies for the ultimate luxury golf vacation.
