The NFT craze shows few signs of abating, and many athletes and celebrities are getting into the game. Tom Brady has been one of the leaders in his space. This year he and his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen each took an equity stake in crypto exchange platform FTX Trading Ltd. You’ve probably seen them in the FTX commercials all over TV. He is also a co-founder of Autograph, and NFT platform that caters to star athletes.
Brady has been dropping his own NFT collections through the Autograph platform, and he is now set to drop a new NFT collection featuring early career highlights on Tuesday. Given his star power, Brady’s NFTs have done well in the market. But of course one has to consider that we’re still at peak NFT mania. Nobody knows what will happen to this market.
But Brady certainly has the attention of his legions of fans and also NFT enthusiasts. He’s also bringing more athletes to the platform such as Rob Gronkowski, Naomi Osaka, Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, Tony Hawk, Simone Biles, Usain Bolt and Wayne Gretzky. It will be interesting to see how these releases do long term.
