Jenna Ortega is a rising star in Hollywood, starting as a child actress and then getting her breakout role as the lead character in the Netflix series “Wednesday”.
Jenna is a petite and beautiful Latina with Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage. At 5’ 1” tall with amazing eyes, she strikes a very unique figure in today’s Hollywood.
Jenna was born on September 27, 2002, in Coachella Valley, California, and embarked on her acting journey at the young age of nine. She initially appeared in Disney Channel shows, most notably portraying Harley, a creative-engineering prodigy in “Stuck in the Middle.” Along the way she scored a series of minor roles including an episode of “CSI: NY,” the TV series “Jane the Virgin” and the superhero film “Iron Man 3” as the vice president’s daughter.
The true turning point of course was her lead role in “Wednesday”. This performance not only brought her international fame but also earned her critical acclaim, including an Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy in 2023. This role signified a major shift in her career, establishing her as a sought-after actress in Hollywood.
Recently she helped to revive the “Scream” franchise with a lead role in “Scream VI” which did well at the box office. It will be interesting to see how her career evolves now that she’s a recognized leading actress. Recent reports have her leaving the “Scream” franchise, as least for now:

This iteration of Wednesday Addams, a character originally from the “Addams Family” series from the 1960s, presents her as a teenage girl attending Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts and supernatural beings. Jenna was amazing as the lead character and the series is a massive hit on Netflix.
