Born in Los Angeles in 1983, Raquel was a child actress for a time before returning in the mid-2000s, primarily as Rocco’s date in the 2005 direct-to-DVD prequel, “Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power.” Prior to landing the titular role of “Miss March” in the 2009 comedy, Raquel had a supporting role on the short-lived Ron Livingston series, “Standoff,” about a pair of hostage negotiators. After 18 episodes, Raquel was forced to look for other work due to the show’s cancellation, but in 2007 she made #88 on the Maxim Hot 100 list. In 2009, she took on “Miss March,” her first leading role, and her future will no doubt be determined by not only how well the film does, but how well she holds her own in the comedy.
