Emily Ratajkowski in “We Are Your Friends”

She’s one of the most beautiful women on the planet. She’s also one of the world’s most followed “influencers” on social media. She’s a model and a sometimes actress, and she’s also very outspoken. Emily Ratajkowski seems to be everywhere and we can’t get enough of her, including the haters who loved to pile on every time she speaks her mind.

The 2013 video for Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” (alongside Pharrell Williams) made Emily Ratajkowski a global sensation due to its provocative style, shwoing off her incredible beauty. Everyone loved the raw hedonism of the video, and the unrated/”explicit” version featured Emily and the other models (Elle Evans and Jessi M’Bengue) topless with only nude-colored thongs or minimal bottoms while they strutted, posed and danced freely.

Her feature film breakthrough was in David Fincher’s “Gone Girl” (2014), playing Andie, the mistress of Ben Affleck’s character. She appered in “We Are Your Friends” (2015) with Zac Efron and also made an appearance as herself in the “Entourage” movie which helped bolster her “it girl” status. Emily also appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues (2014–2015), landed major magazine covers (including multiple Vogue editions, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ), and walked runways for designers like Marc Jacobs (her 2015 debut), Miu Miu, Versace, and others.

All of these appearances, plus her social media status, helped her to redifine the modern notion of a sex symbol.

Emily is so effortlessly gorgeous that none of this should be a suprise, and she kept feeding the celebrity beast with her sexy updates on social media.

As we said above, she’s also very outspoken, often taking on celebrity culture, and she sometimes faces quite a bit of backlash which isn’t surprising.

Interviews and Quotes

Essay in The Cut
Emily has caused quite a stir with her essay detailing how she handled having a child and then her subsequent divorce. Here are some of the quotes:

She went on a hookup spree as she “decided to f–k my way into a new kind of woman.”

“I didn’t f–k anyone I wasn’t pretty sure would fall in love with me because I wanted to be precious.”

“There was Vegan Graffiti Artist with impeccable posture, Chef who thought he might have chlamydia, Spanish Gen-Zer who couldn’t stop sending me nudes, heavily self-medicated Son of a Billionaire with questionable politics, several Italians, and, of course, another DJ.”

“The list goes on but, for legal reasons, will not,”

Well, we naturally wish we had met her during this period lol. All of this has sparked a frenzy on social media with seemingly everyone taking shots at her. We think that’s absurd. She’s simply being honest about this period in her life, and so what if a women goes out there and epxlores her sexuality. We want to see more of that!
