With a major role as the newlywed-wife-from-hell opposite Ben Stiller in the Farrelly Brothers comedy, “The Heartbreak Kid,” blonde beauty Malin Akerman is only just entering the public eye. But she’s already proven that she’s got a flair for comedy and more. Considering her looks and her talent, we promise, you will be seeing more of her.
Born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1978, Malin’s family moved to Toronto when she was only two. A few years later, her modeling career began both at home and over summers in her native Europe. By age 17, Malin had won the title of Ford Supermodel of Canada. She began acting in local TV and film productions and eventually made the transition to Hollywood, appearing in the low-budget comedy, “The Utopian Society,” and then as the Christian nymphomaniac wife of a deformed tow-truck driver in the stoner comedy, “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.”
In 2005, she graduated to HBO comedy shows, with several guest shots on the Lisa Kudrow faux-reality series, “The Comeback,” as well as a memorable two-episode role on “Entourage” as a free spirit who lures straight-laced Eric and his girlfriend into a threesome. Malin also worked as a fake celebrity news correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Showbiz Show with David Spade.” Unfortunately for her, Malin’s next major film role was in the critically hated, commercially ignored, “The Brothers Solomon.” She’ll definitely recover. Besides, if the movies somehow fail, there’s always music. In her spare time, gorgeous Malin also fronts The Petalstones, a hard rock band.
Malin returned to TV with her role on Showtime’s hot show “Billions.”

Malin Akerman on the Screen
Malin clearly does not embarrass easily, and she uses that skill to amazing effect as an alluring blonde prone to odd romantic choices in “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.” Her mastery of the film’s two horny leads and her straight-faced discussion of sexual acts rarely mentioned outside of gonzo porn shows that she can be sexy and humorously gross at the same time. In today’s entertainment world, that’s a real skill.
Malin Says
On her over-the-top comedy parts:
“Those are my favorite kind of parts to do, just being a goofball and seeing how far you can go with something until you’re just way out of line.”
On nudity:
“I don’t really have an issue with showing certain parts of my body. I’d rather not, but it’s not a big deal. Growing up in Sweden, it’s natural over there.”
