Krysten Ritter in “Confessions of a Shopaholic”

By the end of the 2000s, Krysten Ritter fit comfortably into the supporting roles of ubiquitous romantic comedies (“27 Dresses,” “Confessions of a Shopaholic”), but started off as a model, discovered as a teenager in Pennsylvania and eventually making cash in New York. By 2003, she was part of the ensemble cast of “Mona Lisa Smile” and took to television for the next few years, particularly “Gilmore Girls” and “Veronica Mars.” Following her involvement in “What Happens in Vegas” and “27 Dresses,” Krysten seems to have found her niche in the romantic comedy genre, playing eclectic roles normally supporting the main character. She herself describes her look as “thrown-together rock ’n’ roll 90s grunge.”

Krysten finally got her chance to show off her talents in a starring role for three seasons in “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” where she was fantastic.

We’re looking forward to seeing what she does next!

Interview

We interviewed lovely Krysten on PremiumHollywood.com where she discussed a variety of roles, including her role as Jane on “Breaking Bad“: “I prefer doing roles like ‘Breaking Bad.’ To me, that’s…like, that’s the best experience I’ve had on any job, movie or TV. The writing was fantastic, my scene partner – Aaron Paul – was fantastic, working with Bryan Cranston is, like, a learning experience in and of itself. That’s what I would be doing all the time if I could: weird, crazy, dark roles.”
