The hottest plain Jane to hit Hollywood in years, Jennifer Aniston surprised everyone when she suddenly exploded onto the scene in 1994. Jennifer is too good to be true, sporting a great body, good-natured personality and, as Jack Black would say, “face-melting” good looks. And to think Jennifer always knew she’d be a star. In high school, Jennifer’s participation in the drama club sparked an interest for acting that never died, though her love for painting made it hard to concentrate; one of her paintings was even displayed in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art when she was only eleven. After graduating from New York’s School of Performing Arts in 1987, Jennifer shortly began work in off-Broadway productions before getting her first TV role as a regular on “Molloy” and the film-inspired TV series “Ferris Bueller,” both complete failures. She then went on to star in the original “Leprechaun” before auditioning for a new TV show set to debut in 1994.
Jennifer’s hot career was ignited when she joined six other no-name Hollywood brats on the NBC sitcom “Friends.” While all six friends were given equal opportunity to shine on primetime’s greatest night, it was Jennifer’s down-to-earth personality and fad-setting fashion that made her one of the show’s most loved characters. To add to her fame, Jennifer gave new meaning to fashion, when women around the world demanded their hairstylists to give them the “Rachel.” For her dramatic turn in the independent feature “The Good Girl,” Jennifer received Best Actress nominations from the Independent Spirit Awards and the Golden Satellite Awards, later winning an 2002 Emmy and a 2003 Golden Globe for her work on “Friends.” Jennifer’s beauty hasn’t escaped anyone either, named as one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in 2004, her fourth time on the list, though her greatest media-covered achievement has to be her marriage to Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt.
Jennifer’s role on the NBC sitcom “Friends” helped in constructing the tall platform she’s smiling on top of today. Aside from raking in one million dollars per episode in the show’s final seasons, Jennifer has launched an impressive film career and production company, Plan B Productions, with hubby Brad Pitt. Her first film roles in the Mike Judge work-inspired comedy “Office Space” and “Rock Star,” the fictional biography of wannabe Judas Priest front-man quickly proved to critics that she could make it in a world without her friends. Jennifer quickly followed up with a dramatical role in the Sundance-favorite “The Good Girl” to high critical praise while she continued to please fans as Rachel Green. Most recently, she co-starred alongside Jim Carrey in “Bruce Almighty” and Ben Stiller in 2004’s “Along Came Polly.” After Jennifer’s busy schedule on “Friends” came to an end, she began the new road to becoming a successful film actress. She gets criticized for not taking on tough roles but she consistently shos off her comedic chops.
Iconic Character – Rachel Green on “Friends”
Jennifer is having a fantastic career as she shows off her many talents and continues to look beautiful. But for many fans, her role as Rachel on “Friends” will always be a favorite. We highlihgted this character in our “TV Girlfriends” feature in the “High Maintenance Hotties” catagory. Here’s what we said about the Rachel character:
“When we met Rachel Green, she was a demonstrably shallow and ambition-deficient twenty something with a nose job and a dentist she’d left at the altar – your basic stereotypical Jewish American princess rewritten for the ‘90s, in other words – and, yet, from the moment we discovered that Ross Gellar had carried a torch for Rachel since their teenage years, we understood why. It helped, of course, that she was utterly smoking’ hot (and enough of a ditz that she was prone to grabbing a loosely crocheted blanket to cover up her freshly showered torso if you burst in unannounced), but beneath all that pampered entitlement lurked a heart sensitive enough to melt at the sight of a gawky Ross pining for her on prom night – and deep enough to juggle a burgeoning career with unexpected single motherhood. Rachel was frequently foolish, often exasperating, and she did have a troubling mean streak, but just like Ross, we always knew, deep down, that she was totally worth it.”
Jennifer’s Rachel character ended up winning the High Maintenance Hotties round of voting, and here’s what we said about what it would be like to date that character:
WHY SHE GOT HERE: She’s utterly smoking’ hot, and enough of a ditz that she’d grab a loosely crocheted blanket to cover up her freshly showered torso if you burst in unannounced. Homina, homina . . .
DATING PROS: She has a sensitive heart, and is able to successfully juggle single motherhood with a full-time career. And did we mention she’s utterly smokin’ hot?
DATING CONS: In the past, she has been known to be demonstrably shallow and ambition-deficient, but even after conquering those shortcoming, she’s still frequently foolish, often exasperating, and has a highly troubling mean streak. (Incidentally, history suggests that Rachel would not be cool with us making a pros/cons list.)

Jennifer On Film
“Along Came Polly” (2004)
It may not have been a big hit, but Jennifer is great as Polly and has some good chemistry with Ben Stiller in this funny romantic comedy. The film also stars Debra Messing as the bride who cheats on Ben’s character and Phillip Seymour Hoffman who delivers his epic “let it rain” scene.

Jennifer Says
On becoming famous:
“When somebody follows you 20 blocks to the pharmacy, where they watch you buy toilet paper, you know your life has changed.”
On being a sex symbol:
“Nobody thinks of themselves as sexy, really. Some days you go, ‘Hey, I’m not going too bad today.’ But if you try and be sexy, you’ll never be sexy.”
