Scottie Scheffler 2025 PGA Championship trophy celebration

The 2026 PGA Championship tees off tomorrow at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. As expected, the betting market is currently dominated by defending champ Scottie Scheffler and Masters winner Rory McIlroy.

The Favorites

Scottie Scheffler enters as the consensus favorite across all sportsbooks. Despite having “only” one win so far this season, he arrives with three consecutive runner-up finishes. We’re seeing odds ranging from +345 to +500 across the major sportsbooks.

Rory McIlroy is the secondary favorite for obvious reasons as he’s the man with all the momentum. Having won The Masters just last month, he is seeking to win back-to-back majors and complete half of a calendar Grand Slam this weekend. Of course we’ve seen highs and lows with Rory so who knows? We’re seeing odds ranging from +800 to +920 across the major sportsbooks.

Other Notable Odds

Jordan Spieth continues his hunt for the final leg of the career slam. He is currently a longshot at roughly +5900, as he has struggled for consistency compared to the top tier. It’s amazing how he has fallen off but he’s still a major talent.

One of the current “hot picks” is Matt Fitzpatrick (+1950). He’s being cited by many analysts as a “value” play. He has three wins in his last five starts and recently finished as a runner-up to Scheffler.

Following the LIV implosion, it will be interesting to see how do this weekend. Jon Rahm (+1300) and Bryson DeChambeau (+1700) are both underdogs, but both have the ability to be a factor.

We’re still getting used to this event being played early in the calendar. We liked it better when it was the last major of the season.
