There are few things more annoying in modern life than having your phone or other important gadget start to run out of juice just when you need it most. We’ve become very reliant on our phones, so having that charge can be critical for various reasons, including your sanity. That’s one reason we see so many people congregated around charging stations at airports. Now imagine being on a hike and having your phone die . . .
There are tons of portable power packs on the market that you can use for backup power. If you travel a lot for business or find yourself in remote areas like a hiking trail, there’s really no reason to ever leave without a portable charge in your pocket or backpack. The convenience and safety makes this a must-have item.
You can really go wrong with many of the options on the market, but we recently tried the Omars Portable Power Bank and came away very impressed. The portable size is very convenient and it’s super light, making it an easy addition to your cluttered backpack. It also has a sleek design and comes in black and white options.
More importantly, you’ll be surprised at how fast this power pack can charge up your phone. If you’re on the go it’s a much better option than plugging into a wall outlet. Based on our tests we were able to get 4-5 phone charges out of the unit.
The Omars unit is very affordable and you can pick it up at Amazon.
