Even Billy Zane would come up short attempting to claim Kelly Brook as his own (the couple were engaged briefly before ending their relationship in 2008). Kelly Brook, who in interviews very much asserts herself as her own woman, was born in 1979 in Kent, England. She grew to local prominence as a model for ad agencies like Foster’s Lager and Bravissimo. She was #1 in the 2005 FHM Sexiest Women in the World list and that same year posed nude in the British magazine Arena.

In addition to these modeling milestones, Kelly alternated between the runway and the stage, including work for Neil Labute and a role in “Calendar Girls.” After a couple of minor roles in British film, Kelly appeared in the WB series “Smallville” as Lex Luthor’s girlfriend in the 2001-2002 season. In 2005, the same year as her rise to the top of the FHM list, Kelly hosted the reality program “Celebrity Love Island.” She found a home in reality work – she was a contestant on “Come Strictly Dancing” as well as one of the judges in 2008 for “Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life.”

Now in her 30s, Kelly continues to reinvent herself: she’s “the new face and body” for Ultimo’s ad campaign, and in September 2010 she appeared in Playboy. After the Billy Zane breakup, Kelly has been linked with a rugby player called Cipriani as well as action hero Jason Statham, who appeared in the Stallone vehicle “The Expendables” just as Kelly’s Playboy spread was hitting newsstands.

Kelly Says

On TV personalities:
“I think the more mediocre you are the better you do because people need to think you're their friend, they don't want to be threatened by you, you've got to be warm, you've got to be not too smart, not too pretty, not too anything.”
