We’ve photographed a wide variety of models over the years in a wide range of settings for our bikini and lingerie shoots. Quite a few naturally fit into the “boudoir photography” style when we were shooting lingerie and underwear sets.
With boudoir photography, the focus is on capturing intimate, sensual, and often seductive images of beautiful women, usually in private settings like a bedroom, sitting area, hotel suite, or a studio set up. The ambiance is key, often featuring soft lighting, plush furnishings, and luxurious textures. It’s not just popular with glamour and fashion modeling. There’s a market for women seeking photographers to shoot boudoir sets they can give as gifts to their husbands or sigificant others.
The clothing, or lack thereof, is central to boudoir photography. Subjects often wear lingerie, sleepwear like teddies or babydolls, sheer robes, or even nothing at all, sometimes using props or fabrics to cover up body parts. It’s about finding the clothes and setting that fit the lovely subject and enhance her beauty and allure.
We’ve assembled some of our favorite boudoir photos here but you’ll find many more browsing our model archive.
