2010 TV Premiere Week Interviews

The beauty of the TCA Press Tour is that it presents Bullz-Eye with the opportunity to speak with the cast members of some of the season’s new series as well as those who star in some of our returning favorites. Indeed, it’s such a tremendous opportunity that, when Premiere Week rolls around each fall, we end up with so many such conversations that we’re hard pressed to give them all their appropriate due on our homepage…and that’s why you’ve found yourself here. If you’re looking for the place to find all of Bullz-Eye’s interviews with some of your favorite faces of the Fall 2010 TV Season, then look no further. We’ll update this page throughout the week, so be sure to check back often.

Ty Burrell
Co-star of “Modern Family”
“I feel so lucky just to be involved (in ‘Modern Family’). It’s been incredible. I mean, it’s felt really surreal. And then to get nominated for the Emmys…? It’s really felt like a dream, essentially.”

Chevy Chase
Co-star of “Community”
On the success of “Community”: “Has it (caught on)? I don’t know. It’s back, anyway. It was picked up. But I don’t understand TV well enough to know what ‘picked up’ really means. It could just mean, ‘We’ll give it another shot.’ I don’t know.”

Bill Lawrence
Director/Producer of “Cougar Town”
On Jennifer Aniston‘s guest appearance: “I don’t know if you know this, but Jennifer works a lot. We ended up shooting our season premiere as the fourth episode of the season, so we really had to turn it around quickly to get it on TV.”

Carolyn Hennesy
Co-star of “Cougar Town”
On Barb’s past: “Maybe she was raised in a swamp. Maybe it was a very hippie-esque existence, with a lot of free love. And then she decided that she had a mind for math, went to Bryn-Mawr. Barb’s world is literally all up for grabs.”

Blair Underwood
Co-star of “The Event”
On “The Event”: “I was focused on my production company, but my agent said, ‘They’ve inquired about you for this script, which is pretty good. You might want to check it out.’ And it was incredible.”

Cast of “Outsourced”
Rizwan Manji and Parvesh Cheena
Parvesh Cheena: “I was at Comic-Con and I saw (an ‘Outsourced’ shirt). I kind of freaked out a bit. I’m, like, ‘Are you serious? A line that I say on television is a t-shirt? One that I did not make myself and give my friends to wear?'”

Cast of “Raising Hope”
Lucas Neff, Martha Plimpton and Garrett Dillahunt
Martha Plimpton on her co-star, Cloris Leachman: “(She) simply does not know how to not tell the truth. Her version of the truth, but the truth. She’s as blunt as can be, but God damn if she isn’t funny.”

Adhir Kalyan
Co-star of “The Rules of Engagement”
“We (Kalyan and David Spade) seemed to play off of each other very well, and I think that, as we’ve gotten to know each other better and have become friends off the set, our love/hate relationship on the screen has been served better by that.”
