It pleases us greatly to introduce you to an up-and-coming star: Joy Bryant. We discovered Joy when we screened "Antwone Fisher," the 2002 film starring Derek Luke that marked Denzel Washington's directorial debut. As you can see from the photos on this page from the film, Joy is very beautiful and she has a killer smile. What you need to know, however, is that she is very talented as well and she'll soon be taking Hollywood by storm. Joy was born in the Bronx and she attended Yale before becoming a model. Her most high-profile work prior to her acting gig was modeling for Tommy Hilfiger and Victoria's Secret. She's a model with brains and talent, so you can see why we had to feature her.In "Antwone Fisher" Joy plays Cheryl, Antwone's love interest in the film. She delivers a sweet, heartfelt performance that perfectly compliments the Antwone character brilliantly played by Derek Luke. Joy Bryant on the Screen
Joy made her on-screen debut in MTV original production of "Carmen: A Hip Hopera" and continued to appear in small roles in the the Eddie Murphy/Robert DeNiro film "Showtime" and opposite Jessica Alba in "Honey." More recently, Joy starred in the Mario Van Peebles film "Baadasssss!," the suspense film "The Skeleton Key," and also appeared in a cut scene from "Spider-Man 2".

I didn't see "Antwone Fisher." I never heard of Joy Bryant before. I don't know if she's a good actress, where she's from or what she's about. I don't know anything about her other than these pictures. Oddly enough, I'm in love.
