One of several former "Star Search" contestants who missed the brass ring on the show, only to go on to wider success than anyone would have imagined, Beyoncé Knowles is an internationally-recognized singer, songwriter, producer, model, actress, and all-around entertainment mogul -- and she only turned 25 in 2006. Oh, and she's smoking hot. What's your lazy ass been up to lately?
She got her start, you may recall, as a member of the multiplatinum-selling R&B girl group Destiny's Child, singers of such '90s Top 40 staples as "Say My Name," "Bills, Bills, Bills," and, of course, "Bootylicious." By 2003, she'd moved on to the silver screen -- as Foxy Cleopatra, in the otherwise extremely forgettable "Austin Powers 3" -- and a solo career that has since gone on to outlive Destiny's Child.
2006 brought her second solo release, B'Day, which continued
to spin out hit singles well into the following year, as well as a critically
well-received role in "Dreamgirls." Clearly, we're only seeing
the beginning of Ms. Knowles' rise to multimedia stardom.
