Her last name will be familiar to football fans, and for good reason — the Maras own the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kate is the great-granddaughter of Giants founder Tim Mara and Steelers founder Art Rooney, as well as the granddaughter of late Giants owner Wellington Mara.
With a bloodline like that, she could have spent her life eating bon-bons and hucking empty whiskey bottles at the servants; luckily for us, she opted to develop her acting chops instead, and in the space of ten years, has gone on to appear in a slew of films and television shows, including “Law & Order,” “Cold Case,” “Boston Public,” “Random Hearts,” “We Are Marshall,” and the 2007 Mark Wahlberg actioner “Shooter.”
But that isn’t all. Kate’s also got a set of pipes — her singing was featured in “The Californians,” as well as the 2006 Sunday Night NFL season opener. She’s also recorded an album with her band, Trace. Audiences can look for her next in the comedy “Full of It,” costarring Ryan Pinkston, and the Woody Harrelson/Ben Kingsley film “Transsiberian.”

“I think I’m so normal. I try to make all the roles I do feel as normal as possible so people believe them. People relate to the regular-looking person.”
