Jennifer Connelly in “Winter’s Tale”

Jennifer Connelly isn’t your ordinary Hollywood starlet. She oozes a natural beauty that most girls in the business don’t have anymore, and she’s married to perhaps one of the luckiest actors (Paul Bettany) in America. Born in New York in 1970, Jennifer was already off to a good start when she began modeling in magazines like Seventeen at the age of ten. Her appearance in the popular magazine quickly led to her signing with the Ford model agency, and after making her rounds in television commercials, she received her first role in the Robert De Niro film “Once Upon a Time in America.” Jennifer continued to build her resume with television appearances throughout the rest of her teenage years, but in 1986, she snatched the most important role of her career in George Lucas’ “Labyrinth” opposite David Bowie.

Jennifer continued to act while she finished up high school – though the success of her next few films could have easily debated otherwise – and, following graduation, left to attend school at Stanford University. Acting remained her number one priority though, and after winning the lead female role in “The Rocketeer,” Jennifer was finally beginning to earn the respect she needed to become a star. The young actress followed up her performance in the Disney blockbuster with top-notch roles alongside star directors like John Singleton and David Lynch, and finally exploded in the late 90’s with appearances in “Dark City,” “Requiem for a Dream,” and “Pollock.”

Even though Jennifer was attracting the attention of all of the big studios, most moviegoers still didn’t know who she was, and it wasn’t until she co-starred with Russell Crowe in the Academy Award-nominated “A Beautiful Mind” that she became a bonafide celebrity. Since then, Jennifer has become one of the leading female performers in the industry, and has the trophies (a Best Supporting Female Independent Spirit Award for “Requiem,” and a 2002 Golden Globe and Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in “Beautiful Mind”) to prove it. More recently, Jennifer has taken her time in choosing the best scripts available, so she’s not one you’ll see more than once or twice a year. It’s rare to come by an actress in Hollywood with a habit of choosing art over cabbage, but we’re just happy to see a beautiful woman with integrity still making her rounds in the business.

In 2014 Jennifer starred opposite Russell Crowe again in “Noah“.

Jennifer is now one of the most recognizeable faces in Hollywood even as she keeps a low profile when she’s not acting or promoting a film. With her amazing beauty and her willingness to do nude scenes she’s still one of the most popular actresses and the obsession of many fans.

Jennifer Says

On acting:
“You don’t want to get rid of your experiences, because they’re your experiences – good or bad – and you need them, but it would be great if they weren’t on the video shelf!”
