We’re pretty thrilled to see Pamela Anderson back in the spotlight. She was the everpresent blonde bombshell in the 90s and 2000s, and now she’s reinvented herself in her late 50s. She’s going for a more natural look as she ages gracefully, which is in stark contrast from what we’re seeing with other actresses, and frankly we prefer Pamela’s approach.

From her iconic Baywatch days to a string of bold new projects, Anderson’s career revival is a masterclass in reinvention, with her role in the Naked Gun reboot as a key highlight. We have some great shots of Pamela and costar Liam Neeson courtesy of Paramount as they hit the red carpet in New York and the UK for the new comedy that opens today.
Pamela ruled the ‘90s as C.J. Parker on “Baywatch,” and we featured this Canadian bombshell and her iconic character in our “TV Girlfriends” feature in the “Totally Out Of Our League” catagory, which of course she fit perfectly.
But lately she’s been on a tear, proving she’s more than a red swimsuit and a sex tape scandal. After years of B-movies, reality TV, and tabloid drama, she’s reinvented herself as a serious actress and cultural force, racking up critical acclaim and major roles at the age of 58. Her revival kicked off with a 2022 Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago,” where she showed she could hold a stage with raw charisma. Then came her 2023 memoir “Love, Pamela” and Netflix documentary “Pamela, A Love Story,” which peeled back the caricature to reveal a vulnerable, authentic woman, winning over fans and critics alike. The real game-changer was her Golden Globe- and SAG-nominated role in 2024’s “The Last Showgirl,” a poignant drama about an aging Vegas dancer, earning raves for her memorable performance and proving she’s got dramatic chops.
Now, Anderson’s stealing the spotlight in the 2025 “Naked Gun” reboot that opens today, a slapstick revival of the ‘80s and ‘90s comedy classic, co-starring Liam Neeson as bumbling detective Frank Drebin Jr. She plays Beth Davenport, a vampish nightclub singer and femme fatale, a role that lets her flex her comedic timing and charm opposite Neeson’s deadpan delivery. In a recent appearance on “The Town,” a fantastic entertainment business podcast, producer Seth MacFarlane explained the importance of not casting comedy actors on this type of comedy. The cast has to play it straight, and Pamela and Liam seem to be perfectly cast.
We’re thrilled for Pamela and hope to see more of her.
