We’ve been playing fantasy football for years, and in the early years of this site we did quite a bit of fantasy football coverage.
The web has always been an excellent resource to prepare for your draft and manage your team, but now we have podcasts and YouTube channels as well. Podcasts and YouTube channels offer a dynamic, entertaining way to stay informed, delivering expert analysis, bold predictions, and practical tips in formats that feel like hanging out with knowledgeable friends. Listening to a podcast in your car is a lot easier than pouring through web articles. These platforms transform the grind of researching drafts, waiver wires, and start/sit decisions into an engaging experience, packed with humor, camaraderie, and actionable advice for every type of manager.
The key is finding shows that offer useful information in an entertaining way, so keep in mind that not all of these suggestions will be a good fit. We all have different preferences on host personalities and the types of banter that make a show fun. We prefer the guys that get down to business and don’t waste too much time on senseless tangents and distractions.
Here’s a list to get you started.
The Late-Round Fantasy Football Podcast
This podcast hosted by JJ Zachariason stands out as one of the best fantasy football podcasts for its analytical approach. Rather than simply handing you player rankings, Zachariason equips listeners with logical, data-driven strategies that fuel consistent wins. The show is also entertaining without devolving into mindless chatter and JJ gets great guests as well.
If you like numbers, you’ll like this podcast. It dives deep into advanced concepts and metrics that casual fantasy managers often overlook, making it an essential listen for those looking to elevate their game with smarter, numbers-based decision-making. You can follow the show on YouTube as well.
Establish The Run
Adam Levitan & Evan Silva have been at this for years and they consistently provide excellent analysis. This independent podcast blends market analysis with data-driven strategy with a sharp, edge-hunting tone. These guys are all business, though their personalities come through when they take shots at old-school football types who ignore analytics. They have a ton of information available on their website as well and they’re working on growing their YouTube channel.
FantasyPros
This is a very solid fantasy football podcast from iHeart. It’s a daily podcast so you can really get your fantasy fix with these guys, along with up-to-the minute updates so you don’t miss anything. They won’t waste your time with needless fluff. Check out their YouTube channel as well.
The Fantasy Footballers
Hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike “The Fantasy Hitman” Wright do a great job with this show. It covers draft strategies, waiver wire pickups, start/sit decisions, and more, with a focus on making complex insights accessible. Their chemistry and engaging style make it feel like a conversation with friends, while their “Footclan” community adds interactivity. Episodes average 59 minutes, with frequent releases during the season. They also generate a ton of content to keep you informed. They have a huge YouTube channel as well.
The Ringer Fantasy Football Show
All of the shows on The Ringer are entertaining, and that’s the vibe that’s pushed hard here with hosts Danny Heifetz, Danny Kelly, and Craig Horlbeck. It might be a bit too much for my taste, but they work in enough solid analysis to make the show worthwhile. In the end, your mileage may vary here depending on how much you enjoy the banter on this show. Some of the mindless tangents were a bit much for me. You can find their playlist on YouTube as well.
The Fantasy Football Club with Sal Vetri
Sal caught my attention when he recommended Puka Nacua as a flier. Sal has built an impressive YouTube channel and he also gets a ton of play on X. his channel focuses on in-depth NFL research, covering draft strategies, sleepers, and player analysis. He doesn’t waste your time and just pumps out data and recommendations. His data-heavy approach simplifies complex stats for all audiences, with frequent uploads on topics like waiver wire gems and DFS plays.
