100% Waterproof Eco Terra Boombox
Many dads probably miss the days of being able to carry around a boombox. Of course things got ridiculous as rappers carried around boomboxes as big as a house, but it was so easy back in the day to create a spontaneous party with a killer boombox. Today, everyone is doing their own thing wearing their headphones with their iPhones or iPods. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but it doesn’t lend itself to much socializing. With the Eco Terra Boombox you get the best of both worlds as you can slide your phone or iPod into the boombox and share your music with friends. It’s the perfect gadget to take with you as you’re tailgating, hanging by the pool or anything else you might want to do with friends. It’s so easy to use and produces good sound. Check this out for the dad who misses his boombox but also loves his MP3 player.

HP Phoenix
You think desktops are dead? Think again. Here’s what Jeff Morgan had to say about this high-performance machine: “The custom gaming / performance PC market is probably best known for its garish, overwrought case design and the staggering price of entry. Price comes down quite a bit as buyers look to build their own machines, but for a lot of people, pre-built is a fine option. It doesn’t require any technical expertise and there’s the added benefit of manufacturer product support. Buying a pre-built machine does involve some amount of compromise; you don’t get to pick every peripheral in the machine and there is the aforementioned aesthetic issue. When HP contacted me to test a machine that bucks the aesthetic trend, I was intrigued. After a few weeks with the HPE Phoenix h9xt I now have something I never thought I would have–a high-end pre-built I would actually recommend to a friend.” Check out his full article.
Pyle Snorkeling Master Watch
This makes a great gift for the dad who loves water sports or frankly just likes to be outside. The watch is best for snorkeling, free diving, boating and other underwater sports, and it lets users record and store data in its dive log, which holds up to 100 records. Each dive record contains various details, including time and date, dive duration, maximum dive depth, minimum water temperature and dive site indication details for future review. It also features six function modes, including Current Time, Chronograph, Countdown Timer, Dual Time Mode, Dive Mode and Dive Recall Mode to help underwater users keep track of important information during their snorkeling adventures. The watch is resistant up to 330 feet and equipped with an important safety feature, a dive alarm that activates when emerging faster than 6 meters per minute. It also has a thermometer to measure the temperature of the water from 14°F to 140°F. The electro-luminescent backlight keeps the display visible for dark underwater trips.
Dyson DC35 Multi Floor Cordless Vacuum
It’s no big secret that Dyson makes some of the best vacuums on the market, so if you’re actually considering buying one for Father’s Day (and with the ever-increasing number of stay-at-home dads these days, it’s not as crazy as you might think), then there really is no substitute. We’ve covered some of the larger Dyson units in the past, but the new DC35 Multi Floor cordless vacuum is probably our favorite of the bunch. Though the 15-minute charge doesn’t provide enough time to clean a large house, it’s great for quick spills, stairs and hard-to-reach places, and can even replace your regular vacuum if you live in an apartment. Plus, it takes up a lot less room in your closet (or none at all when using the wall docking station), has a detachable wand that makes it even more portable, and boasts the same industry-leading features (like Root Cyclone technology and Ball-based maneuverability) that we’ve come to expect from every Dyson vacuum.
Samson Meteor Mic
We love this incredible device that is chrome-plated and beautifully designed so that you can record great sound or use it as a speakerphone on services such as Skype. It looks like an old school mic, but it’s also portable as the three legs of the stand all fold up perfectly to make it easy to store in luggage or a briefcase. Most importantly, the sound quality is so much better than what you’ll get from tiny mics or the mic built into computers. Check out our review for all the features. It’s a great gadget for anyone and a great gift idea as well, so check it out online or at Best Buy.
