Stuff to Buy Channel / Bullz-Eye Home

Many say "it's the thought that counts," and that's particularly true when buying gifts for women. Putting some thought into your gift will go a long way toward bring a smile to her face when she unwraps your gift, so be mindful of the hints she gives you of what she likes or doesn't like.

Of course, in most relationships with women, your gift will be analyzed to death by her and her friends (unless of course it's been a long relationship or you've made it past the first couple years of marriage). There's a great Seinfeld episode about this subject where Jerry and George go shopping for Elaine's birthday back in the early episodes where there was still some sort of relationship between Jerry and Elaine. The episode leads to this hilarious scene that drives home the first point above about putting some thought into your gift. Jerry hilariously gives Elaine cash and a lame card, while Kramer ends up getting her the bench she really wanted. Watch and learn.

Of course, there are also times when you don't want to necessarily push a relationship along. In that case, find something cool that she'll love without getting too romantic and you can probably keep things casual.

So with all that in mind, here are some suggestions.

JEWELRY

If you're going with jewelry, your choices will naturally be driven by the nature of your relationship. Don't go big here unless you're sure she sees the relationship in the same way. Also, this is where you can usually listen for hints, or at least observe the styles she likes. Take some mental notes and then let your friends or helpful salespeople to find something that fits what she likes.

We always go back to Tiffany & Co., as that blue box will give any woman with a sense of style a huge smile as she opens it. In some ways, this is the perfect option if you're not looking for something expensive. Of course, you can break the bank there, but you can also find a wide variety of bracelets and necklaces for under $300 and even some under $200.
FASHION

This is a tough one. You really need to know what she likes, or better yet have a hint of what she wants, before you try to get too creative here. She'll usually appreciate the effort but try to avoid picking something too far outside her comfort zone. That said, if you're feeling adventurous, make sure to hang on to the gift receipt!

We've featured ICON products in the past, and this leather jacket jumped out at us. Of course, it's a great option if she likes to ride motorcycles, but it's such a great looking jacket that we think many women will wear it. This jacket features a bold design and comes in black or white featuring top quality leather. If this fits her sense of style, she will love it!

If you're looking for more classic or elegant products, check out premium brands like Chanel, Coach or Prada. And if you have some other cool gifts she can open, you can probably get away with a gift certificate to one of her favorite stores.

GADGETS
Arts and crafts have always been very popular with women, and one of the hottest trends at the moment is the new die-cutting machines from Cricut, which allow you to create custom craft projects from a variety materials, including cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more. These machines cut intricate designs using special cartridges that no human being could ever hope to achieve, offering limitless possibilities in almost no time at all. The company’s newest model, the Cricut Expression 2, is also the best one yet, featuring a sleek design and a full-color LCD touch screen that provides a simpler and more customizable experience than ever before. You can see what the images look like before cutting, change pressure and speed settings, and even resize, rotate and flip the image using the digital menus. The machine also comes with two pre-loaded cartridges containing over 800 images (like letters, numbers, sayings and shapes), is compatible with all other Cricut cartridges, and connects to the online Cricut Craft Room where you can purchase additional images from their library. Though the machine and cartridges can get a little pricey, there’s so much you can do with the Cricut Expression 2 that it’s a really great investment for the arts and crafts-crazy lady in your life.

PERFUME

You can buy her something she loves, a new fragrance, or something you like that you want her to try. Just make sure it isn't one worn by a past girlfriend!

This is one of the hot, new perfumes on the market, and anything from designer Stella McCartney should go over well. You can also browse her online site for other ideas, which includes everything from jackets, to handbags, to boots and more.
DESTINATIONS
  • Day at the Spa
We've recommended this for many years since it's a great gift that most women will love. You'll want to add other gifts that she can actually open, but a gift certificate to a spa is an easy option when you use a site like SpaFinder.com. She'll also be thinking of you as she's being spoiled there, so this can be the gift that keeps on giving!

  • Weekend in Vegas
Any trip is usually a good idea, but a weekend in Las Vegas can offer a perfect blend of luxury and excitement. Whether you're looking to spice up a relationship or just enjoy a new fling, flying out to one of the upscale casino resorts will give you a weekend to remember. We recently spent a weekend at Aria and enjoyed the great restaurants and luxury accommodations, so we recommend that spot or a place like Cosmopolitan. These newer, trendier spots are perfect for couples. You can schedule time at the spa together and hit one of the many incredible shows in town. We recommend "Love" at The Mirage which features the music of The Beatles. If Vegas isn't your thing, or you're worried that she'll lose control at the tables with your money, then think of another adventure that she'll enjoy. Great experiences last longer than most material things!
LINGERIE
We're naturally big fans of lingerie here at Bullz-Eye. We probably wouldn't exist without the idea of women in lingerie! With that said, we recommend going with classy and elegant over tacky, unless of course she has a thing for tacky lingerie! With Victoria's Secret, you can appeal to her sense of fashion while still hinting at some playful fun as well. You can also find other great items like pajamas and sweaters that she'll like too.
BOOKS
If you're looking to spice up your love life, or you just want to make sure you're kept warm this winter, pick up a copy of the book that every woman seems to be talking about. That said, you might want to check out some of the steamier pages from the book first to make sure you're ready and willing to perform once she gets these ideas in her head! And even if she's already read the book, there's actually a Fifty Shades Trilogy you can pick up assuming she liked the first one.
SPIRITS

Women love cocktails, and you can spice up a party or a night alone pretty easily with the right bottle. You can always go with a nice wine or champagne, but you can add some fun by mixing up cocktails she'll enjoy.

Most women loved flavored vodkas, and Smirnoff has capitalized on this trend with some great flavors. The new and hot flavors include Kissed Caramel and Iced Cake. Whether you're buying a personal gift or bringing something to a party, these two choices will be very popular. Both of these can be used for all sorts of cool cocktails, so bring some good mixers along as well.

You usually can't go wrong with a tasty liqueur when shopping for women. The new, limited edition Kahlúa Gingerbread is a great option. Kahlúa is a very popular spirit, and Kahlúa Gingerbread "combines distinctive notes of gingerbread, nutmeg and subtle cinnamon and clove with the rich flavors of Kahlúa, which is made from 100% Arabica coffee beans and sugarcane spirit, grown side by side in the mountains of Veracruz." Sounds interesting – right? Well, we tried it, and it tastes great. You can serve it neat, on the rocks, or mixed into cocktails and coffee drinks.
