Cincinnati, the Queen City, is situated on the Ohio River in the very Southwest corner of Ohio. This area, known as the Tri-State region because Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio all come together here, is the heartland of college basketball. Cincy's location, in a valley guarded by five large hills, provides a scenic downtown setting and a natural barrier from some of the harsher Ohio weather, and several years ago, it was named by Places Rated Almanac as "The Most Livable City in America." Cincinnati gives off a big-city vibe but it also has its own small town feel. With all the amenities of a larger city, such as NFL football (Bengals), MLB baseball (Reds), fine dining and a variety of night-time entertainment, there's plenty to keep you busy; however, Cincinnati lacks many of the hassles that come handcuffed to other larger cities: the traffic is manageable, the locals are friendly and helpful, and the cost of living is reasonable. And with Kentucky located right across the river, your visits to the Queen City should be enjoyable.
