Like her “The L Word” co-star Katherine Moennig, Leisha Hailey is also a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, graduating in 1991. Born in Nebraska 20 years prior, Leisha came out as a lesbian as a teenager and has made a career out of playing similar characters on the screen – most notably as bisexual journalist Alice on “The L Word.”

Leisha began her career appearing briefly on sitcoms such as “Boy Meets World” and “Ellen,” in which she’s an extra in Ellen’s coming out episode. By 2004, Leisha found not only steady work on the Showtime series “The L Word,” but also an avenue for greater exposure and an opportunity to develop her other talents. When not in front of cameras, Leisha is also a singer-songwriter, and fronts the band Uh Huh Her.
