Bullz-Eye called Fox’s “Lone Star” the best drama of the 2010 fall TV season, but we were far from the only outlet to make such a statement. Not that it did the show any good: despite being one of the best reviewed series of the fall crop, “Lone Star” ceased to shine after a mere two episodes. Though its brief run wasn’t enough to secure the show a spot in the top 25 of our TV Power Rankings (it’s hard to throw your votes to a show that was canceled before we’d even commenced voting), we can’t very well say…

You may think it’s naïve to believe that the world at large will one day look at Mayim Bialik without first thinking of the five seasons she spent as the title character of NBC’s “Blossom,” but it’s amazing what CBS sitcoms can do to help actors escape from potential pop culture albatrosses. I never would’ve believed that I’d be able to look at Jon Cryer and Neil Patrick Harris without thinking, “Hey, look, it’s Ducky and Doogie!” After their work on “Two and a Half Men” and “How I Met Your Mother,” however, I’d bet I’m not the only one…

It’s fair to say that not everyone who’s been part of the “Saturday Night Live” ensemble has managed to maintain career longevity, but Tim Meadows has rarely been out of work since departing “SNL” in 2000. Although “The Bill Engvall Show” wrapped up in 2009, Meadows has been fortunate enough to remain part of the TBS family, moving straight into a recurring role as Professor Haines in the new ‘80s-set comedy, “Glory Daze.” We chatted with the comedian about his new gig, his own college experiences, his favorite “SNL” sketch that never made it to air, and the chances of…

There are fewer and fewer individuals left among us who can truly be defined with the phrase “comedy legend,” but if you would argue that Tim Conway is not among them, then I would kindly ask you to put up your dukes. With a resume that includes not only long-running stints on “The Carol Burnett Show” and “McHale’s Navy” but also guest appearances on more recent series like “30 Rock” and CSI,” Conway has built a television legacy that will last far beyond his lifetime. Not that he’s planning on an end date for that life any time soon: even…

When the opportunity came up to talk to Ryan Kwanten about his starring role in “Red Hill,” a modern-day western set in Australia, I immediately leapt at the chance, figuring, “After three years of blogging ‘True Blood,’ there’s no way I’m going to miss the opportunity to talk to the man who plays Jason Stackhouse!” As it happens, I wasn’t the only one who had an interest: our man Bob Westal, who – although he’s never really watched “True Blood,” is a major aficionado of westerns. In the end, we both got our wish (you can check out Bob’s conversation…

If you’re a regular viewer of “Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show,” then this will probably not surprise you any more than it did me, but for what it’s worth, I now have personal confirmation that it’s very easy to go over your allotted time when you’re interviewing the man because you find yourself shifting from doing an interview to having a conversation. He’s just that easy and enjoyable to talk to. If you’re not a regular viewer of “Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show,” maybe it’s because you didn’t know he had a chat show…and, okay, fair enough. After all, it’s an online…

AMC’s “The Walking Dead” is one of the most anticipated new series of Fall 2010, so when Bullz-Eye was offered the opportunity to sit in on a series of roundtable interviews with members of the cast and creative team, you can imagine that we jumped at the chance. In the midst of a world wracked with a serious zombie infestation, you wouldn’t think that there’d be time for the survivors to deal with something like a love triangle, but Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, and Sarah Wayne Callies can assure you that there most certainly is. We’re not sure you can…

Based on an ongoing comic book…or graphic novel, if you prefer…by Robert Kirkman, “The Walking Dead” has been transformed into a television saga by Frank Darabont, perhaps best known for his work on such Stephen King adaptations as “The Shawshank Redemption,” “The Green Mile,” and “The Mist.” We were able to chat…

Producer Gale Ann Hurd is more than a little bit familiar with comic book adaptations, having produced two “Hulk” films, two “Punisher” films, and as far as her sci-fi cred goes, it would be fair to say that she’s got plenty, putting her production stamp on “Aliens,” “Alien Nation,” “The Abyss,” “Tremors,”…

Zombies may be at the core of “The Walking Dead,” but there’s plenty of humanity to be found as well. Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, and Norman Reedus play members of a pack of survivors in the heart of Atlanta, and in our conversation, Yeun talks about getting too hot too quickly, Reedus…
