Sadie Sink in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”

Hollywood has always had a soft spot for beautiful redheads, and Sadie Sink is the latest Ginger sensation. We knew she was destined for great things onscreen, but now her celebrity image in getting turbocharged with her Calvin Klein jeans campaign where she shows that she’s comfortable being a sex symbol as well.

Sadie had great success as a child actress across a number of projects, and then she landed the role of Max Mayfield on “Stranger Things” in 2017. Her character was the California transplant with a skateboard, a Walkman, and a talent for looking both armored and heartbroken. She trained for two months, three hours a day, to look like she actually lived on that board. The performance grew with the series. Season 4’s “Dear Billy” episode, built around Kate Bush and a hospital bed, became one of the show’s most quoted hours. By the time the series ended in 2025, Max was no longer the new kid. She was the emotional center.

Sadie used the fame to take harder swings. She led R.L. Stine’s “Fear Street” films as Ziggy Berman. She played the furious, wounded daughter opposite Brendan Fraser in Darren Aronofsky’s “The Whale” (2022), earning a Critics’ Choice nomination and a Rising Star award at SCAD. She starred in Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well: The Short Film.” Then she went back to the stage. In 2025 she originated Shelby Holcomb in Kimberly Belflower’s “John Proctor Is the Villain” and earned a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Play. In 2026 she made her West End debut as Juliet opposite Noah Jupe in Robert Icke’s “Romeo and Juliet.”

The next chapter is superhero-sized. In “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” she plays Jean Grey, the telepath and telekinetic who will carry into “Avengers: Secret Wars” and a new “X-Men” film.

She’s now poised to be one of the biggest new stars in Hollywood.

“I was so flattered when they asked me to do it because [Calvin Klein] is such an iconic brand. There’s this young, fresh energy they’re bringing to this campaign. It’s about feeling yourself in the clothes you wear. I don’t know what it is about me that reads that way, but I’m happy to do it.”
