2010 NBA Preview

Sports Channel / Bullz-Eye Home

On the heels of what was arguably the most compelling NBA offseason in the history of the league, the 2010-11 season is poised to be a great one. Of course, LeBron James grabbed most of the headlines this summer with his decision to take his talents to South Beach and join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on their quest for an NBA title. The Heat are the most improved team in an Eastern Conference that also saw Carlos Boozer join the Bulls and Amare Stoudemire commit to the Knicks. Throw in the rock-solid Celtics (who added Shaq) and a well-coached Orlando Magic team and the East should be brutal this season.

But let's not forget about the two-time defending champion Lakers, who don't need any additional motivation with Miami's SuperFriends dominating the news. The West is not going to be a cakewalk for Kobe, however, as the up-and-coming Thunder (featuring a bona fide MVP candidate in Kevin Durant) will be nipping at his heels. Boozer and Amare are gone, but Duncan, Dirk and Melo (at least for now) are still out West.

The Scores Report's 2010 NBA Preview breaks down all 30 teams, from the title hopes of each contender down to the long-term strategies of franchises going through the (sometimes) painful rebuilding process.

Welcome to the 2010-11 NBA season!
