The Pitch: Mazin -- the screenwriter responsible for the third installments of the "Scary Movie" franchise -- directs a script he co-wrote with David Zucker, co-director of "Airplane!" and the "Naked Gun" films. It's a spoof flick, in other words, and one that sends up (per the title) superhero movies.

The Buzz: Surprisingly kind. Spoof comedies aren't what they used to be, but Zucker knows his stuff, and judging from the trailer, this one has an actual plot (albeit one lifted from "Spider-Man") to go along with its pratfall humor and instantly dated pop-culture references.

Trailer Highlight: Leslie Nielsen + nailgun = laughs.

Bottom Line: Do you need to see it? Absolutely not. Will you hate yourself for doing so? Probably not.
