C-Town has rebounded over the past 15 years to become one of the best turnaround stories in the country. The construction of Jacobs Field, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and other attractions has helped to accelerate a renaissance that began in the 1980s.
The nightlife and the restaurant scene in Cleveland has also improved dramatically, particularly in the Warehouse District, the Tremont area and the area near Jacobs Field.
One area suffering a bit is the well-known Flats. The West
Bank is still cool in the summers, with Shooters drawing
huge crowds along the river, but the East bank has been hit
hard by the popularity of the Warehouse District. So if your
first instinct when arriving in town is to tell the cabbie
to take you to the Flats, have him drop you off on West 6th
in the Warehouse District instead. You'll thank us.
