This album has everything you could ask for, from the mellow "Porcelain" and "Natural Blues" to the trance-dance tracks "Bodyrock" and "Machete." From the first track, "Honey," you are captured in his musical genius as he hits you with a cool beat that spins round and round. Also on this album is Gwen Stefani's duet with Moby on the pop-rock single "South Side," showing his full range with such an eclectic choice of music. Moby even trades in his electronic sound for an acoustic guitar in two highly recommended tracks near the end of the album, "Everloving" and "Guitar Flute & String," and his unique rendition of Elvis Presley's "Run On" is a must-hear. From start to finish, Moby's Play is exactly what it says it is. All you need do is push play. Eighteen tracks in whole, Play is more than enough to quench your thirst. Every track tastes completely different, leaving your finger seemingly miles away from the skip button. I praise Moby for this tremendous effort in creating an amazing album and, at the same time, catapulting the reputation of electronica to a much higher level. ~Jason Zingale Other Moby reviews:
