The second major label release for this band from Harrisburg, Pa. is hard rocking yet so melodic that fans of bands like Vertical Horizon and Tonic will find themselves digging this disc. The first single, "Hemorrhage," was a big hit on both Modern Rock and AOR charts.

"Easy" is a haunting song, bringing to mind early 1990s grunge, ala Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains. The latest single, "Innocent," has a soft yet demonic verse and a powerful chorus that makes it radio friendly yet still cool. Guitarist Carl Bell, who writes most of the material, shows some lyrical brilliance in this song -- "Angels lend me your might / Forfeit all my lives to get just one right." And lead singer Brett Scallions has an absolutely monster voice.

My only knock on this record is that some of the harder rocking songs such as "Empty Spaces," "Down" and "Solace" sound very similar in structure and production. But make no mistake, this band rocks hard and still has the potential to cross over into mainstream the same way Creed did. And when they do, make sure you tell everyone you read it first on Bullz-Eye.com.
