This yet unsigned, up-and-coming band out of Morgantown, West Virginia brings to mind
songwriter/ keyboardist Ben Folds, but with more of an edge. This young band is a four-piece
guitar/keyboard/bass/ drums powerhouse with incredible vocal ability -- in fact, all four members sing either lead or backup and they have infectious vocal harmonies.
"Grudge" kicks this one off with some high energy and shows that these guys are more than a garage band trying to break out. Songs like "Wheelchair" and "The Ballad of Ernestine Jackson"
really show off the Argument's musicianship and songwriting abilities. "Disappear" and
"Sick Of Here" bring to mind straight ahead melodic pop music similar to Vertical Horizon.
The catchiest track though, is "Inflatable Amy," a twisted yet hilarious song about falling in love with a blowup doll.
The lyrics are witty, the vocals are amazing and this band has a unique sound that will soon put them on the national map. Look for them as they frequently tour the mid-west and east coast.
