Can we expect to have football betting this fall?

Pat Mahomes NFL

Just think back to the amazing comeback engineered by Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl, leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a wild win over the San Francisco 49ers. It was such a great finish to a great NFL season, and there was every reason to be excited for the fall of 2020.

Then everything changed. With Covid-19, our lives have been turned upside down. Tens of thousands of families face terrible tragedies with loved ones. And yes, the sports world has suffered a great deal as well.

Now we’re heading into the fall season, and we’re nowhere near where we want to be in terms of taming this virus. But some sports have returned, and it seems like the NFL will be ready to play.

With college football, the news isn’t nearly as good given the season cancellations by the Big Ten and PAC-12.

So we’re left with many questions, but as of now we should expect to get NFL games. I’m less optimistic about college football given the outbreaks we’re seeing on college campuses. We all remember what it was like to be 20 and on the prowl in college. These kids won’t be staying along in their dorms.

So the NFL offers us our best bet to get our football gambling fix in this fall, but for all those who are rather interested playing lotto, there are a multitude of options to choose from all across the US. The Michigan lottery for example offers the famous Michigan lottery promo code for all it’s players, and one can get the code here.

Of course, things will be different. You won’t have preseason this year, so getting feedback on the development of players and teams will be more difficult. Of course, that will also minimize the preseason bias we see every year.

Also, we have no idea how injuries will play out with all the changes. Teams like the Cleveland Browns saw two significant injuries in their first two days of practice in full pads.

Still, there are so many things to look forward to, and tons of fun betting angles once the season starts. Mahomes will likely be the favorite most weeks with the Chiefs. Then we have Tom Brady starting anew with Tampa Bay, and spoiled New England Patriot fans get so see just how frustrating mediocre quarterback play can be. They might get lucky with a healthy Cam Newton, but that’s seems like a long shot.

If the NFL can pull this off, they’ll go a long way towards returning us to some semblance of normalcy. There’s nothing like a pro football parlay bet to take your mind off the craziness we’ve seen this year.
